Jane Austen vs. JWoww

These days Mr. Darcy has been relegated to that cringe-worthy position of the imaginary love interest to awkward, demure English majors everywhere, but maybe he was an in-demand "gorilla juicehead" who knew how to fist-pump back in his day.

Well, it's a timely investigation for sure. It turns out that JWoww's guide to life and love, "The Rules According to JWoww," came out the same week as "The Jane Austen Handbook." Slate did a great side-by-side comparison

While the Ms. Austen guide had a distinct lack of GTL, it turns out, it's not for the timid or the proper-er-than-thou. An excerpt:

Ask him if he wants to go "stargazing." Everyone knows what that means. If not he must be rather clueless, and perhaps you should rethink your affection.

Excellent advice for shore-dwellers and land-dwellers alike.
